Underlay is used to seal together the flooring as well as make it last longer and have a little more comfort under your feet. You are able to get more ware out of your flooring if you have the right underlay. Sometimes the underlay is more important than the actual flooring, having the best of both will certainly benefit you, however, if you cannot afford or do not need the best then you just need a good flooring underlay, it will allow for your flooring to feel thicker and better than it actually is. People don’t realise how much underlay is essential to nice long lasting flooring.

There are many different types and brands for you to look at, so long as you get the right underlay your flooring will look better and last longer. It is worth buying good quality underlay as cheaper will not be as hard wearing, although if it isn’t for your main room then it isn’t too much of a problem, the more the room is used the better the underlay should be. A spare bedroom for instance will not need as good of quality as the main living space in the home.
